.....Camp Pa-Wa-Pi Adventure Weeks

 

(Ages: 10-14) Special adventure camps are for older Pa-Wa-Pi campers who are ready for an additional challenge. In addition to their specialty area, campers enjoy canoeing, hiking, high ropes, cookouts, crafts and archery. Each day’s activities revolve around a weekly theme and each camp day concludes with a swim at the Williamston Community Pool. Also, weeks 2,5,7,9 & 11 include an overnight stay at Camp Pa-Wa-Pi or the Parkwood YMCA on Thursday night. Weeks 3, 4, 6, 8, & 10 will feature a field trip related to that weeks theme.

Program Time
9:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday

Extended Care
Extended care hours are from 7:00am to start of camp and from end of camp to 6:00pm. You can drop off or pick up your child any time during the extended care hours.
The fee is $30 per week per child.

Week 1 Camp C.R.E.W.
(Campers Ready & Engaged to Work)
Campers will help with the beautification of Camp Pa-Wa-Pi with hands on projects. “Let’s make camp look cool”.

Week 2 Mission Impossible
During this week the campers will be given a series of secret tasks to complete a group challenge. There is an Overnight on Thursday night.

Week 3 Martial Arts Week
Learn the Basics of this “age old” art based on mind, body, & spirit. Field trip on Thursday to ATA Black Belt Academy.

Week 4* Astronomy
Learn the basics of star gazing, constellations, & solar system. Campers will have a great time
putting what you learned to the test during the camp overnight. There is an Overnight on Wednesday night.

Week 5 Super-Soakin Safari
Let’s get wet! Campers will have a chance to tie dye each others shirt with a twist. Campers will trek thru the woods to find and spray each other’s shirt. Do you have it in you to have “FUN”? Field trip to Potter Park Zoo on Thursday.

 

 

Week 6 Woods Survival
Camper will focus on learning skills needed to survive a day/night out in the woods. Areas of interest will be shelters, orienteering, edible
food source, and basic first aid training. There is an Overnight on Thursday night.

Week 7 CSI/ Who Done It?
With the assistance of the area professional, campers will explore this exciting science and detective work. Field trip on Thursday to a local police station.

Week 8 Eco Challenge
Campers will practice to compete as a
team in varies events such as archery, trail hiking,canoe race, climbing. This will be based on a point system. There will be an Overnight on Thursday night.

Week 9 Science Fest
Campers will perform a variety of experiments to help broaden their knowledge in this area. Field trip on Thursday to Impression Five Science Museum.

Week 10 High Adventure Challenge
Campers will learn the basics of climbing high ropes and the use of equipment. There is an Overnight on Thursday night.

Week 11 Wood Creation
Campers will learn the basics of building, tools, & more.
