For Parents of Campers
Parents trust us with their most precious possession, their children, and we take that very
seriously. Camp Pa-Wa-Pi is licensed by the State of Michigan. This licensing program focuses on program quality, health and safety issues, and requires us to review every facet of our operation. Camp Pa-Wa-Pi voluntarily submits to this independent appraisal by state experts and is proud to have earned this distinction.

The Pa-Wa-Pi camp staff is highly trained and very committed. References and past work
experiences are thoroughly checked. Criminal checks and drug screenings are conducted prior to hiring. We employ hard working young men and women who are dedicated, experienced, responsible, enthusiastic, positive and fun! Each has at least two years experience working with children and/or child-related college course work. The counselor to camper ratio is never greater than 1:10 and is often lower. All staff members are trained in CPR and Basic First Aid.
